Description

Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs is a comforting, cheesy casserole loaded with pasta, juicy meatballs, marinara sauce, and two kinds of melty cheese. It’s a classic, family-friendly dinner perfect for meal prep or feeding a crowd. With simple pantry ingredients and just one baking dish, this spaghetti and meatballs bake is quick, satisfying, and always a hit.

Ingredients

Scale

12 oz spaghetti, cooked al dente

3 cups marinara sauce

2 cups cooked beef meatballs (homemade or frozen)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 cup ricotta cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish with olive oil.

2. Cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Add a layer of sauce to the bottom of the baking dish. Layer with half the pasta, half the meatballs, and a sprinkle of mozzarella and parmesan.

4. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan on top.

5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

6. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use al dente pasta to prevent mushiness.

Freeze leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 months.

Try with turkey or plant-based meatballs for variation.
